Champions league teams from Australia, Victoria and South Australia announced 20-man preliminary squads. All CLT20 teams are required to announce their final 15-member squads by August 9. Victoria Bushrangers is one of the strong favourites to win 2010 Champions League tournament along with IPL teams and Warriors. Victoria has outstanding cricketers in all departments.
South Australia is weakened by the absence of its two important players, Shahid Afridi & Kieron Pollard. Pollard may play for Mumbai Indians. But, Victoria named Dwayne Bravo in their preliminary squad. Victoria Bushrangers are winners in the KFC Twenty20 Bigbash tournament while South Australia Redbacks are runners-up in the Australian domestic tournament.
