Central Districts Stags is the lone representative from New Zealand in the 2010 CLT20 cricket tournament. They qualified to the Champions League cricket tournament by winning the 2009-10 HRV Cup domestic Twenty20 (New Zealand domestic T20 cricket tournament). They announced 20-man preliminary squad and is expected to announce final 15-member squad in the August first week. Ross Taylor is also eligible to play for Bangalore Royal Challengers while Jacob Oram is eligible to play for Chennai Super Kings.
