CLT20 Preview: Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Warriors

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Warriors of South Africa in the inaugural match of 2012 CLT20 tournament. RCB has slight edge over warriors but Warriors has very good record in the Champions League. Match time: September 23, 8 PM. Stadium: Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru. Ratings for Captains & Teams: 1. RCB: 8/10 & Daniel Vettori: 8/10. 2. Warriors: 8/10 & Johan Botha: 7/10.  Interesting battles: 1. Chris Gayle, Dilshan Vs Warriors pace attack. 2. Daniel Vettori spin Vs Warriors all-rounders, Boje & Botha.  RCB squad analysis: Royal Challengers are looking very strong in batting with the likes of Gayle, Dilshan, De Villiers and Virat Kohli at the top. They will be followed by talented young Indians like Mayank Agarwal and Saurabh Tiwary. RCB has one of the best batting line-ups in the Champions League. Chris Gayle singlehandedly took RCB to the finals in 2011 IPL. RCB can chase any target without any problem. Unfortunately, they do not have bowling attack to defend any total. We have to see how part-time spinners like Gayle and Dilshan will perofrm. They have world class bowlers like Dirk Nannes and Daniel Vettori but who will occupy Zaheer Khan slot. Crucial player: Chris Gayle. Warriors squad analysis: This team is full of experienced T20 cricketers and good all-rounders. But, they are looking weak in batting department when compared to RCB. Warriors batting attack is weakened as their stars (Kallis & Davy Jacobs) opted to play for IPL teams. Colin Ingram and Kelly Smuts are good T20 batsmen - can they adjust to Indian tracks? But, Johan Botha is a dangerous player in T20 cricket. Warriors will have good chances to beat RCB if their pace attack can get rid off RCB top order quickly.  Crucial players: Johan Botha & Nicky Boje.  2012 CLT20 match Prediction: Royal Challengers Bangalore may defeat Warriors. Please share your opinions on this CLT20 match.  … [Read more...]
