Champions League T20 cricket records:
1. Most Sixes:
David Hussey of Victoria holds the record most sixes in T20 cricket. He hits 92 sixes. Brendon McCullum of Otago is next with 76.
2. Largest Margin of Loss:
Bangalore lost the match to Kolkata by 140. Largest margin of loss by runs by participating teams.
3. Highest Team score:
Somerset hold the record for the highest score 250 against Gloucestershire. Victoria with 233 is second highest scoring team.
4. Minimum runs conceded:
Eagles bowled out Titans for the lowest score 47 in 2004. Royal Challengers is on the second position when they bowled out Bangalore Rajasthan Royals at 58 in Cape Town in 2009.
5. Most Successive Victories:
Eagles, Victoria and Sussex hold record for 8 successive win.
6. Maximum Number of bowlers used in an inning:
Maximum number of bowlers used in an innings is 8. Sussex, Somerset, Bangalore, Deccan Chargers and Cape Cobras share this record.
7. Most consecutive defeats:
With 6 defeats Sussex hold the record for most consecutive defeats. They experienced this poor run between August 2007 and June 2008.
8. Most Ducks in an innings:
Bangalore holds the record 5 ducks in an innings. They achieved this unfortunate feat against Kings XI Punjab at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in the inaugural IPL.
9. Most Maiden overs:
Dillon du Preez’s with five maidens is the most in the format among all the participating players in the tournament.
10. Most sixes conceded:
Sussex conceded the most 17 sixes in a T20 inning, against Essex at Chelmsford.
11. Most Fours in an inning:
Somerset hit most 31 fours in an innings in T20 games, against Glamorgan in Cardiff in June 2003. Second in the list among competing teams is Otago, scoring 26 fours against Central Districts in Dunedin in January 2006.
12. Successful Debut:
Dave Mohammed has the best debut with five-four in T20 cricket.
13. Most Century Partnerships:
Most 2 century partnerships in a T20 match – Eagles and Cobras had one each in their innings.
14. Most Runs by a player:
The maximum 2088 runs scored by Victoria’s David Hussey, averaging 32.66 in 78 matches. McCullum is second in that list, with 1695 in 63 games at 30.26.
15. Highest Score by Wicketkeeper:
Adam Gilchrist with 109 runs in 47-ball against Mumbai Indians in the inaugural IPL. It is the highest score by a wicketkeeper.
16. Fastest Hundred:
Henry Davids of Cobras took 41 balls to complete his hundred against Warriors in Cape Town, which is the fastest hundred in Twenty20s among the teams in this competition.
17. Most Fifties:
Gautam Gambhir (Delhi Daredevils), JP Duminy (Cobras), and Herschelle Gibbs (Cobras) have scored 12 fifties in Twenty20s. They are joint position holder among the participating players in the Champions League.
18. Most Ducks:
Gibbs with 12 ducks, most by any batsman in Twenty20 cricket.
19. Consecutive ducks:
James Kirtley of Sussex with 3 consecutive ducks hold the position. It is second in the list of most consecutive ducks in Twenty20 cricket.
20. Most run given by bowler:
The most 67 runs conceded by a bowler in an innings, by Kirtley – again – versus Essex at Chelmsford in 2008.
21. Highest Match aggregate:
439 is the highest match aggregate when one of the team is out of these 12 teams. Otago and Central distt made 439 runs in Jan 2006.
