Top 3 teams from IPL, top 2 teams in the Australian and South African domestic T20 tournaments automatically qualify for the group stage of CL T20 tournament. Top 2 teams in the England domestic T20 tournament and the winners of the domestic T20 tournaments in Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies will play in qualifying matches along with the fourth placed team in Indian Premier League (IPL). Top 3 teams in the qualifiers will reach group stage. Top 2 teams from each group will reach the semi-finals of this prestigious tournament.
